The district is centered in the small town of Happy Valley. The Happy Valley School District is composed of a primary school and an elementary school.

In the late 1800's three schools were founded: The Beckwith school (1895), the Olinda school (1904 -name changed from Oak Highland which was established in 1884), and the Cloverdale school (1880). Each of the schools consisted of 1st through 8th grades, which were held in a one room schoolhouse with a single teacher at different locations. During the 1920's, all three schools suffered ups and downs with different hardships in the community. Unfortunately, the Beckwith School ended up closing around 1920. It was reported in February 1921, after years of turbulence that the remaining two schools began to flourish with increasing attendance. In 1955 a new schoolhouse was built and the Happy Valley Elementary School was established. Later in the 1970's, the Primary School was built and added to the district.

We are very proud of our small district and the bonds we have made with our community. We thrive on the "everyone knows everyone" concept. Our loyalty and pride run deep in our schools' traditions on both campuses. To be a part of this amazing school and community is being a part of the Happy Valley Family!
