School Implementation Plan
Each participating school in Shasta County’s Community Schools initiative develops its own implementation plan based on the unique needs of its students and families. Common areas of focus include integrated student supports such as mental health services and access to basic needs, enriched learning opportunities, family and community engagement, and collaborative leadership with ongoing professional development for educators. These efforts work together to create a supportive, whole-child approach to education.

0-5 Playgroup
Our 0–5 Playgroup, in partnership with First 5 Shasta, offers a warm and welcoming space for young children and their families in Happy Valley. Guided by experienced early‐childhood facilitators and using play‐based curriculum funded by First 5, these weekly sessions focus on exploration, creativity, sensory development, and positive social interaction. It's a great way for kids to build early learning skills and for parents to connect with one another in their community.
