Happy Valley School Readiness

Happy Valley School Readiness

By Sandi Garcia

Children are born ready to learn. From the moment that they first open their eyes, they are preparing for their jump into Kindergarten. Children have the best learning experiences with people they know and love. Family is important! If you are like most parents today, it's quite a challenge to take good care of your toddler, while also taking good care of yourself and your responsibilities. Watch for everyday moments and opportunities to nurture your child's development by building their self-confidence, curiosity, social skills, self control and communication skills through play.

Happy Valley Primary School understands and values the relationships between the experiences of early childhood and success in school. Our desire is to partner with you in providing opportunities for you and your child to come and be a part of our school family, before your child starts school. We offer a variety of child focused activities through out the year that will help your little one feel important, safe and have a sense of belonging to their new school family.

If you live within the Happy Valley School District and have a child 0-5 years old, please contact our School Readiness Coordinator, Sandi Garcia @ 357-2131, to have your child's name added to our School Readiness list. You will then be notified of your opportunities to attend events here at the Primary school. Remember, school readiness begins at birth!
