Happy Valley has a new WEBSITE!

Dear Happy Valley Families,

We hope you are enjoying your summer break!

As we return to prepare for the start of school on August, 12, 2026, I would like to
remind parents to use the online Aeries Parent Portal to enroll their students for the new
school year. Aeries portal opens on August 3rd, 2026.

New and returning students must complete this process. This is required to attend the
first day of school and a complete enrollment will be necessary in order to receive bus
route and classroom/schedule information at the ice cream social.

It is important to complete all forms online and the additional paper registrations.

Why do we have both online and paper: Some of our forms are unable to be uploaded
into the parent portal at this time.

Why are there so many forms: Many of the forms are required by the state for reporting
purposes that are tied to funding. The information in Aeries is then uploaded to CalPads
which is the state student database.

School Funding Data Collection Form:

At HVUESD, all students receive a healthy, freshly prepared breakfast and lunch every
day at zero cost through the California Universal Meals Program. Because meals are
free for everyone, we no longer collect traditional "school lunch applications."
Instead, we ask all families to complete our Alternative Income Form.

Why This Form Matters to Our School:
The state of California allocates extra education budgets based directly on the
demographic data from these forms. When families do not return them, our school
loses critical funding. Your submission directly pays for:

● Classroom technology and learning software
● Reading and math intervention specialists
● Counselors and mental health resources
● After-school enrichment programs and clubs

Direct Perks for Your Family:

Filling out this form does not just help the school—it unlocks personal financial savings
for your student, including:

● Fee Waivers: Waived registration costs for Advanced Placement (AP) exams and
SAT/ACT testing.
● College Prep: Free college application submissions to UC, CSU, and private
universities.

Fast, Easy, and 100% Confidential:

● No Social Security Number Required: The form asks for broad income brackets,
not exact tax details or sensitive identification numbers.
● Complete Privacy: This information is completely protected by federal privacy
laws and is never shared with external agencies.

How to Complete the Form by August 11, 2026:

● Option 1 (Fastest): Log into your parent portal at
https://happyvalleyusd.aeries.net/ , click on Parent/Student Portal, login and
follow the prompts to the Parent Data Confirmation.
● Option 2: Fill out the paper form at the Enrollment Bonanza or school office in
person and return it to your child’s school office BEFORE August 7th, 2026.

Every single form matters. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our
school community strong, supported, and fully funded.

The CalKIDS program is a free college savings initiative from the State of California. Through CalKIDS, every eligible public school student is automatically provided with a college savings account, funded by the state to help jumpstart future education goals. There’s no cost to participate, and no paperwork required to get started. Parents can access their child’s account online and even contribute additional funds if they choose. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin planning early for college or career training. To learn more or to check your child’s eligibility, visit www.calkids.org.
